Erin and Harry’s Engagement

I spent a magical evening with Erin and Harry capturing their bursting love for each other at the beautiful Staunton Country Park, to create an engagement film that they could share with their friends and family, and have as an everlasting memory of the beginning of their journey towards marriage.

I was contacted by Erin and Harry who had just recently got engaged and were looking for cinematic film to mark the beginning of their journey towards marriage and to capture their love for one and other. On our first consultation together I could instantly see the true chemistry they had and couldn't wait to film with them. Engagement films are special and a unique time for both the videographer and couple, as often it is the first time that a couple has been placed in front of a professional camera before that allows for a truly raw and natural capture of their happiness together. It’s also a great opportunity for me to get my couples more familiar with the structure of filming and my process. Making sure everyone is comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera is my number one priority; this was Erin and Harry’s first time in front of the camera together, so starting off with some of the more relaxed shots to get them adjusted really helped.

I choose the beautiful Staunton Country park to be the perfect backdrop to their engagement film as it has the lovely grounds set on a hill, with a wide range of little hideaways and a small pond in the centre, that make it a truly romantic place to visit and visually interesting on camera. Having so many different areas to choose from allowed for a lot of creative freedom and made the evening an exciting adventure as we all explored the different areas of the park.

Filming during the evening allowed us to capture the stunning glow of the sun setting, which always creates the most flattering and pleasing light on both people and the surrounding area.
